WARNINGS
Toxicity: High doses may cause mild GIT disturbances (reduces appetite, heartburn, nausea, indigestion, headaches, skin rash). Interactions: Theoretically can interfere with metabolism of many drugs due to effect of liver and gastric secretions.
PREPARATION
Powder: 250mg TID. Infusion: 2 tsp/cup, TID. Tincture: (1:2, 45%), 5-10ml QD. Dried fruit extract in a 1:6 w/v ratio against liquid (95% ethanol) and administered at 20-30 drops daily. Eating the powdered fruit or fruit extract (this is what is usually found in pills) at 1-3g daily, with meals.
